Procedures for Temporary Labor Certification in the Entertainment Industry |
Purpose. To provide policy clarification and guidance regarding the special procedures governing the temporary labor certification process for the entertainment industry.

Background. On December 1, 1983, the Employment and Training Administration issued GAL 5-84 which provided the procedures governing the labor certification process for the entertainment industry. The attached procedures have been updated and rescind those issued in GAL 5-84.
Action Required. State Workforce Agencies (SWAs) are instructed to:
Provide the attached procedures to appropriate staff.
Instruct staff to provide application forms and advise employers of procedures for filing temporary labor certification applications in the entertainment industry.
Inquiries. Address any questions or inquiries to the appropriate regional office.
