SUBJECT	:	2000 H-2A REPORT

Attached is a report on H-2A activity for Fiscal Year 2000, reflecting activity by region, state, crop, number of applications and H-2A openings requested and certified. This information may be helpful to the Regions and States in presentations or in responding to increased inquiries about the program. This year program data was provided on a quarterly basis by the regional staff and forwarded to the National Office. Additionally, the National Office was able to track the number of applications certified as well as the number of employers certified. As a result, we now have a more accurate report of the activities and number of workers involved with the H-2A program. Please share this report with SESA staff administering the H-2A program.

The National Office appreciates the regional certifying officers and H-2A staff diligently working to provide the data for this report. We will need the same information in the same format as the attached report for FY 2001 by October 2001.
