Experience Rating Index for Rate Year 1993

  1. Purpose. To transmit the Experience Rating Index (ERI) for States for Rate Year 1993.

  2. Reference. Manual Transmittal Letter No. 1460, Unemployment Insurance Program Letter (UIPL) No. 3-92 and UIPL No. 37-93.

  3. Background. The referenced UIPLs published the ERI for Rate Years 1988 - 1992. Attachment I shows the ERI by State for Rate Years 1988 - 1993. Attachment II shows the ERI and the individual components involved in the calculations for States for Rate Year 1993 and is a continuation of the series. Attachment III indicates how the Experience Rating Index is calculated.
