Proposed Statistical Technical Assistance Guide (TAG) for Unemployment Insurance Quality Control (UIQC) System

 

  1. Purpose. To transmit a draft Quality Control Statistical TAG to State Employment Security Agencies for review and comment.

  2. Background. The attached Quality Control Statistical TAG has been prepared in order to provide basic background information pertaining to sampling techniques and other statistical methods that are essential to the successful performance of the QC system. It is intended to be a reference guide to be used by State managers and data analysts. The TAG has been designed for your use. We would appreciate your feedback on the proposed TAG's utility and suggestions on ways that it might be improved or expanded.

    The TAG is being circulated for comments to Regional Office and SESA personnel in order to insure that the statistical issues are presented clearly and will be beneficial to the appropriate personnel. Suggestions for additional topics for inclusion in this TAG are also solicited.

  3. Action Required. SESA administrators are requested to:

    1. provide copies to appropriate personnel for review; and

    2. submit comments to the National Office (Attn: TEUQS) by April 25,1986.

  4. Inquiries. Direct questions to your Regional Office.

  5. Attachment. Draft copy of the Quality Control Statistical TAG.
