Release and Availability of Comparison of State Unemployment Insurance
Laws 2005 |
- Purpose. To announce the release and availability of Comparison of State Unemployment
Insurance Laws 2005
- Background. Each year, the Department of Labor publishes a new edition of Comparison
of State Unemployment Insurance Laws to reflect recent changes to state laws and new areas of interest.
- Publication Description. This publication provides in-depth information on key aspects of state
unemployment insurance programs such as coverage, financing, monetary entitlement, extensions and special programs,
nonmonetary eligibility, overpayments, and appeals. It also provides an overview of the temporary disability programs
operated in six states.
Five copies of Comparison of State Unemployment Insurance Laws are mailed to the administrator of
each state workforce agency. Comparison of State Unemployment Insurance Laws can be found on the Laws
page of the Office of Workforce Security's web site at: https://oui.doleta.gov/unemploy/laws.asp. A limited number of
copies of this publication are also available to others who would like to receive one.
