Terminating E-Mail Delivery to DOLETA.GOV |
Purpose. To inform the workforce system that effective July 11, 2003, the Department of Labor is terminating e-mail delivery to DOLETA.GOV.
Background. The Department of Labor (DOL)
recently transitioned from the Groupwise e-mail system to Microsoft Outlook.
While the e-mail conversion for Employment and Training Administration (ETA)
staff was completed in May, staff continued to receive e-mail sent to the old
Groupwise addresses as a result of an automatic forward that was put in place.
Termination of E-Mail Delivery to DOLETA.GOV. After July 10, e-mail sent to former Groupwise addresses, e.g., jsmith@doleta.gov will no longer be forwarded to new Outlook addresses, and as a result will not be deliverable. This action is a necessary step in the post-implementation follow-up to our migration to the DOL Common E-mail System.
New E-Mail Address Format. E-mail for ETA employees should now be addressed by the individual’s last name, followed by a period, followed by the individual’s first name @dol.gov. In the above example, jsmith@doleta.gov can now be reached by e-mail at smith.john@dol.gov.
Inquiries. Questions regarding the data validation initiative should be directed to the appropriate regional office or grant administrator.
