Purpose. To notify the States of the availability of a new publication -- Study of the Implementation of EDWAA: Report on the Survey of Substate Areas. The report details results of an evaluation study conducted for the Employment and Training Administration (ETA) by Social Policy Research Associates, of Menlo Park, California.
Background. The new publication is part of an overall evaluation of the implementation of the Economic Dislocation and Worker Adjustment Assistance (EDWAA) program, and builds on the study's two previous reports.
It represents the findings of all substate areas, and looks at four issues: how EDWAA programs are organized, the types of dislocated workers served, services provided, and outcomes achieved by workers served in EDWAA.
Action Required. Please distribute the report to appropriate officials within the State.
Inquiries. Direct inquiries to Mary Vines (202) 219-7664 or to the appropriate ETA Regional Administrator.
