Workforce Information Allocation Formula for PY 2003:
Subtract 2.8 percent ($1,064,000) for postage costs from the total funds available $38,000,000) for U.S. Department of Labor grants administration.
Allocate .0024 percent of the balance ($36,936,000) to the Territories of Guam and the Virgin Islands based on each Territory’s relative share of the civilian labor force.
Allocate an additional $50,000 each to Guam and the Virgin Islands.
Allocate 40 percent of the remainder ($36,747,354) in equal shares to each of the States, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
Allocate 60 percent of the remaining balance ($22,048,410) based on the relative share of the civilian labor force for each State, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
