DEFINITION CHANGES TO THE VETS 200 A,B,C
| ROW.13 | Received Job Search Activities | Count of all registered veterans and eligible persons provided services which are designed to help the job seeker plan and carry out a successful job hunting strategy. Services include resume assistance, job search workshops, including the Transition Assistance Program (TAP) workshops, job finding clubs, provision of specific labor market information and development of a job search plan. "Resume Assistance" – Providing instructions on the content and format of resumes and cover letters and providing assistance in the development and production of the same. "Job Search Workshops" – An organized activity that provides instructions on resume writing, application preparation, interviewing skills, and/or job lead development. "Job Finding Clubs" – have all the elements of the ES Job Search Workshop, plus a period of structured application where participants attempt to obtain jobs. "Provision of Specific Labor Market Information" – Information concerning occupational staffing patterns, hiring patterns, working conditions, and pay of firms or industries. "Job Search Planning" – Development of a plan (not necessarily a written plan) that includes the necessary steps and timetables to achieve employment in specific occupational, industry, or geographic area. | Count of unique SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS where DATE RECEIVED JOB SEARCH ACTIVITIES is within the last four quarters. |
(1) On page 1 of 10 of each of the VETS 200 Report Specifications, the reporting element identified as "Total Applicants" is to be changed to "Total Active Job Seekers." On page 1 of 10 of each of the VETS 200 Report Specifications, Note 1 will be reworded to read: "Total Job Seekers and job seeker characteristics are for individuals who were either registered by or received services from VETS funded DVOP (or LVER or both) staff."
(2) On page 3 of the Overview to the 406 Handbook, the second sentence in the last paragraph (under VETS 200 Report and Specifications) should read: "The data reported contain the same data elements as the ETA 9002, but only apply to the activities of job seekers who were either registered by or received services from Local Veterans Employment Representatives (LVERs) and Disabled Veteran Outreach Program staff (DVOPs)." (The italics were added for emphasis.)
(3) In the 9002 B Quarterly Report form, row 15 (Referred to FCJL Jobs) and row 16 (Placed in FCJL Jobs) should be shaded in Column C. Similarly, rows 16 (Referred to FJCL Job) and 31 (Placed in FJCL Job) of the VETS 200 Quarterly Report forms should be shaded in Column C. In other words, this field should be empty.
