2001 Youth Supplemental Funds

 

  1. Purpose. To transmit the Revised WIA Youth Activities State Allotment table.

    2. Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2001 (Public Law 107-20, July 24, 2001: 115 Stat. 155)

  3. Background.  On August 16, 2001 TEGL No. 3-01, PY 2001 Changes in Dislocated Worker and Youth Funds, was issued to the employment and training system. The TEGL stated that an additional $25 million is being made available for Youth activities in PY 2001 as a result of the Supplemental Appropriations Act 2001. The table reflecting the revised state allotments for WIA Youth Activities was not included. However, it is now available for dissemination.

  4. Action Required. States should provide this information to the appropriate staff.
