State Letters Commenting on the Administrative Finance Initiative (AFI) |
Background. UIS Information Bulletin No. 13-94, dated June 7, 1994, described the proposed new AFI funding formula. In that Bulletin, we invited reviewers to provide comments, constructive criticism, or alternative approaches to the methodology. We have received letters from 18 States.
State Comments. Attached are the State comments received on the AFI proposal grouped by categories largely following the building blocks in the proposed AFI formula. When a comment was made by more than one State, the number of States is shown at the end of the comment.
