This mailing includes summaries of a variety of proposals that have been introduced since mailing No. 93-01. Also, the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993, P.L. 103-66, signed by the President on August 10, includes only two UI-related provisions: an extension of the 0.2 percent FUTA surtax for 2 additional years--through 1998, and the extension of the Trade Adjustment Assistance Program for 5 years--through September 30, 1998.
