Cash Management Improvement Act of 1990 (CMIA):Final Rule |
This is to provide Regional Offices a copy of the cited rule which was published in the Federal Register on September 24. The final rule contains major changes from the proposed rule, published on March 23, addressing unemployment funds. The Supplementary Information section of the final rule provides the Treasury Department rationale for those changes (see pps. 44278 - 44279).
A Field Memorandum containing more detailed information regarding the effects of the rule, UIS plans for publishing its own cash management regulations (referenced in the CMIA rule), and Regional participation in the negotiation of state agreements under the CMIA rule is forthcoming.
